Aloe Vera – the spiky wonder

It’s amazing how much goodness is found within the common houseplant aloe vera. The spiky aloe vera plant may look like a cactus, but it is in fact member of the lily family. Native to east and south Africa, records of its use as a medicinal plant date back to biblical times. Today, the aloe vera plant can be found in many places in the world, thriving in warmer climates. Many people cultivate it as a house plant.
